Collections Specialist Role

Job Description

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments. This involves contacting clients through various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person visits, to discuss and resolve payment issues. Additionally, you will negotiate payment terms and settlement plans in accordance with company policies, maintain accurate records of all communication and collection activities, and collaborate with the finance team to reconcile account discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments
  • Contact clients through various communication channels to discuss and resolve payment issues
  • Negotiate payment terms and settlement plans in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of all communication and collection activities
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile account discrepancies and ensure data accuracy


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as strong organizational and time management abilities. You should also be proficient in using computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office, to manage and track collection activities.
