Project Manager Role Overview

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of experienced professionals in managing large-scale infrastructure projects. As a seasoned project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of electrical works including rural electrification, power distribution lines, substations, and related infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex projects, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Lead the execution of electrical works including rural electrification, power distribution lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor progress against schedule, budget, and quality parameters; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and international best practices.
  • Business Development Objectives:
  • Explore and create business opportunities.
  • Ensure timely submission of technical & financial bids.
  • Ensure bid-to-win ratio as per internal plan.
  • Team Management Responsibilities:
  • Mentor junior project managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Stakeholder Communication Objectives:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, contractors, and local communities.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically in rural electrification or power distribution.
  • Overseas Experience: Preferable
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong expertise in rural electrification, power distribution, and project execution.
  • Travel/Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Benin and travel to any location for site visit and coordination.
