Leadership Role in CSIT/Cyber Security

Job Overview:

The position of Director of CSIT/Cyber Security demands a strategic leader who can develop and implement comprehensive plans for the department, fostering innovation in teaching, learning, and research. Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Vision
  • Design and execute strategic initiatives to drive academic programs, research endeavors, and departmental operations.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, encouraging faculty to explore emerging areas of Computer Science and IT.
  • Promote the development of new academic programs and research projects.
Academic and Research Excellence
  • Oversee curriculum design, course creation, and accreditation processes, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Motivate high-quality research and secure funding through grants and industry collaborations.
  • Foster faculty growth in scholarly activities and professional development.
Operational Leadership
  • Manage departmental resources, budget allocation, and policy implementation, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Rapidly Recruit, evaluate, and mentor talented faculty and staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, national, and international standards.
External Partnerships
  • Bolster partnerships with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions, promoting collaborative growth.
  • Represent the department at national and international forums and conferences, strengthening its reputation.
  • Drive initiatives related to internships, placements, and alumni engagement, enhancing student success.
Technical Infrastructure
  • Oversee the implementation and management of IT infrastructure used in teaching and research, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Guarantee cybersecurity, data governance, and technology-enabled learning environments, maintaining a secure and innovative ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of academic or industry experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic pursuits, research, and/or innovation in CSIT.
  • Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc.).
