Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional leader to oversee the strategic direction and growth of our CSIT department.

  • Develop and execute innovative plans to drive academic excellence and research initiatives in emerging areas of Computer Science and IT.
  • Foster collaboration among faculty, staff, and industry partners to promote cutting-edge teaching and learning environments.

Academic Oversight:

  • Oversee curriculum design, course development, and accreditation processes to ensure high-quality programs.
  • Promote scholarly activities and professional development among faculty.
  • Serve as a key liaison with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions to secure funding and partnerships.

Operational Management:

  • Manage departmental resources, budgeting, and policy implementation to optimize performance.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

External Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions to drive collaborative research and innovation.
  • Represent the department at national and international forums and conferences to promote CSIT excellence.

Technology and Infrastructure:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of IT infrastructure to support teaching, research, and innovation.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, data governance, and tech-enabled learning environments to safeguard academic integrity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of academic or industry experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of academic excellence, research, and/or innovation in CSIT.
  • Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc.).
