Sourcing Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to lead our procurement team and drive business growth.

  • Develop strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives and optimize procurement processes for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the purchasing and inventory management team to achieve departmental targets and improve supply chain performance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and quality while ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste and obsolescence and continuously explore new suppliers to improve rates and services.
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning systems for tracking and reporting and monitor costs, analyze performance metrics, and report improvements to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  2. Purchasing and Inventory Management: Lead and manage the purchasing and inventory management team to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
  3. Supplier Management: Negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing and quality while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
  5. Reporting and Analysis: Utilize ERP systems to track and report on costs, analyze performance metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 13-17 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain (Manufacturing industry experience preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, analytical skills, and knowledge of ERP systems and supplier management processes.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
