A Global Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant management of payroll operations in APAC. This role involves a high level of expertise in HR systems, payroll processing, benefits administration, tax and labour compliance, vendor management, and people management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of HR systems from hire to retire data management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including salaries, wages, deductions, and benefits for APAC countries.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations, including tax regulations, labour laws, and company policies.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Collaborate with inter-departments to address and resolve compliance-related discrepancies.
  • Optimize costs and minimize risk by ensuring services are delivered as per agreed SLAs and timelines from vendors.
  • Proactively ensure optimal utilization of available resources to support BAU and global HR projects.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll queries and issues promptly and accurately.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 15-20 years of experience in HR, with a focus on HR Operations, Payroll, and Compliance.
  • Previous experience in managing a team of 5-10 people.
  • Proficiency in HRM systems such as Workday/Oracle.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels within the organization, locally and globally.
  • Experience in a global (matrix) organization preferred.
  • Effective collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders and vendors.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Implement Agile methodologies and lean six sigma processes to bring efficiency into the process.
