Job Title: System Software Specialist

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and modern technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, prepare technical designs, and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in batch and online processing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure application quality.
  • Provide expert-level support for critical production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and deployment checklists to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and modern programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of mainframe operating systems and software.
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain high-performance systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools and technologies.
