Centre Overview

The Motilal Oswal Centre for Capital Markets (MOCCM) is dedicated to fostering education, research, training, and innovation in financial markets, fintech, quantitative finance, and investment management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Formulate and execute the long-term vision and strategy of the Centre.
  • Develop programs and initiatives aligned with the Centre's mandate in financial markets research and education.
Program Management:
  • Provide support for research projects, working papers, and publications in financial markets and related areas.
  • Support faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  • Organize training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
Industry Engagement:
  • Build partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and other organizations.
  • Organize seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
Operational Oversight:
  • Manage day-to-day administration of the Centre including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  • Supervise support staff, interns, and research associates.
Communication:
  • Oversee the Centre's visibility (online and offline), including publications, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Represent the Centre at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.

Key Qualifications

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in academic and/or research institutions, regulatory bodies, financial services companies, industry associations, or other relevant organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
  • Understanding of financial markets, fintech, or quantitative finance is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are required.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with academic institutions or research centres.
  • Strong professional network in finance or policy domains.
  • Familiarity with grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement is preferred.
