Job Description

As a key professional in the field, you will be responsible for all aspects of search execution, including managing end-to-end delivery of retained search assignments from research mapping to candidate engagement and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handle existing relationships with key clients, ensuring effective 'farming' of these relationships.
  • Work on multiple mandates across various industries, sectors, functions, geographic regions, and in conjunction with other associates in joint assignments.
  • Assist consultants with marketing, pitches, presentations, and candidate closure.
Research

Conduct thorough research to prepare client presentations, anticipate client requirements, and provide relevant information. Formulate a research strategy to meet client needs, specify target companies and universes, and map the 'universe' of an assignment or product area.

Take ownership of research reports, ensuring accurate names, company details, and biographical information. Assist in due diligence on short-listed candidates and help promote the company as an executive search provider.

Knowledge Management

Attend client pitches, contribute when necessary, and write detailed proposal documents and job specifications. Develop profiles for client-facing presentations, write up client-facing profiles after interviews, and create consistent styles in profiles written.

Research relevant product areas, keep abreast of new developments, and maintain data in a consistent manner. Suggest speculative candidate ideas and develop reliable sources.

Execution

Interview candidates professionally, attend meetings with consultants, and write up notes. Manage candidate interviews by arranging meetings, gathering feedback, and staying in contact with shortlisted candidates.

Be responsible for the desk when consultants are traveling and make telephone calls to map universes, pitch roles, obtain career information, and exercise judgment making skills.

Candidate & Client Interaction

Attend candidate interviews with consultants, conduct solo meetings, and interview junior candidates against set competencies. Meet candidates or sources built rapport with and arrange candidate meetings with consultants.

Attend client pitches, take detailed notes, create a positive impression, and assist consultants in delivering research presentations.

Business Development

Attend client pitches, stay alert to potential business development opportunities, and familiarize yourself with hiring trends. Seek out gaps in mappings/org charts and alert consultants.

Understand practice group track records, clients, key placements, and off-limits information. Stay informed about consultant work in developing clients and activity in your practice group.
