Job Role: Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Expert to join our finance team. As a key member, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Explain and assist vendors with the accounts payable process, ensuring all payments are made on time.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to guarantee accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Send timely payment requests to the finance department for processing.
  • Analyze bank statements and identify any discrepancies in payment processes.
  • Generate and approve vendor invoices for payment.
  • Resolve any queries or concerns raised by vendors regarding payments.
  • Prepare documents for audits to ensure compliance with accounting regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel, is essential.
  • Complete knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and laws governing the accounting field is required.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills to effectively work with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
