Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to undertake assessments of existing bridges and prepare assessment reports with experience in Steel Composite, Pretension/Posttension structures.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge design, specifically in UK standards, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carrying out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair
  • Preparing new bridge design and strengthening design to UK standards
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate design and health and safety standards

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Design and assessment checks under the guidance of a Senior or Principal Engineer
  • Preparing drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines
  • Following QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bridge Design experience, particularly in Eurocodes
  • UK CEng qualification
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant industry certifications, such as certification from UK-based bodies.
