About the Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic program leader to spearhead our efforts in financial markets research and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:
  1. Develop and execute a long-term vision for our centre, aligning with its mandate in financial markets research and education.
  2. Create programs and initiatives that drive growth and excellence in these areas.
Education and Research Program Management:
  1. Support research projects, working papers, and publications on financial markets and related topics.
  2. Manage faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  3. Organize training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
Industry and Stakeholder Engagement:
  1. Foster partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other organizations.
  2. Host seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
Operational Oversight:
  1. Manage day-to-day administration, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  2. Supervise support staff, interns, and research associates.
Communication and Outreach:
  1. Oversee our centre's visibility, including publications, newsletters, and website updates.
  2. Represent us at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.

Desired Profile:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in academic and/or research institutions, regulatory bodies, financial services companies, industry associations, or relevant organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, fintech, or quantitative finance is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
