Job Overview

A Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse activities to ensure efficient operations, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping. They will work closely with the logistics team to coordinate shipments, manage inventory levels, and maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to plan and execute shipments, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in the warehouse, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly
  • Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their jobs effectively
  • Work with the purchasing department to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing and terms
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a warehouse or distribution center
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
