Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Professionals play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of workers, protecting the environment, and promoting sustainable development.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to support the safe execution of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a passion for promoting a proactive safety culture across all project phases.

The selected candidate will work closely with site operations teams to develop and implement effective HSE plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs that promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancement.
  • Investigate incidents and identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Lead a team of HSE personnel, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects/operations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certificate.
  • Lead Auditor ISO 45001/ISO 14001 or equivalent certifications.
  • Incident Investigation Techniques certificate.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong understanding of HSE issues, practices, and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
  • Ability to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, and other critical processes.
  • Practical experience in implementation of practical control measures for hazardous substances like hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including site operations teams, contractors, and external agencies.
