About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Print Support Specialist to join our team. As a Print Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting print environments, including printers, print servers, configurations, installations, validations, and troubleshooting issues.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in desktop support and knowledge of printers, plotters, and printing from a mainframe. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless print services and resolve any technical issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support print environments, including printers, print servers, and configurations.
  • Install and upgrade software on print devices.
  • Troubleshoot print issues, including driver installation, mapping of printers, print queues, and new printer requests.
  • Handle hardware issues related to printers and manage print services on the server.
  • Patch and validate print servers.
  • Lead vendor calls and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage enterprise print services using OMPlus and LRS VPSX for print job routing, auditing, and failover.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of printers, plotters, and printing from a mainframe.
  • Familiarity with OMPlus and LRS VPSX for centralised job control and monitoring and output management and delivery respectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve user print issues, including print errors, print queue issues, new printer requests, and connectivity problems.
  • Experience with OS (Windows Server/Unix server).
