Job Overview:
The Senior Software Upgrade Specialist will be responsible for spearheading and executing critical software and system upgrades across Elevate Global's enterprise technology ecosystem. These upgrades may involve:
- .NET Framework/Packages
- Angular Framework/Packages
- Third-Party Libraries
- Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of software and system upgrades across Elevate Global's enterprise technology landscape.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Development teams, and Architects, to identify, plan, and implement upgrade requests effectively.
- Develop and maintain detailed upgrade plans, timelines, and risk assessments for each project.
- Validate upgrades through rigorous testing and ensure optimal system performance post-implementation.
- Create comprehensive documentation for upgrade processes, including plans, results, and rollback procedures.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on new features introduced by upgrades.
- Monitor system performance post-upgrade and address any issues that arise swiftly.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards during all upgrade activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements for future upgrade methodologies based on lessons learned.
Requirements:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on knowledge in programming, preferably in .NET languages (C#, VB.NET) and SQL.
- Experience in managing software upgrades
- Understanding of CI/CD practices
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
