What’s your new role about? The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing critical software and system upgrades across Elevate's enterprise technology landscape. These upgrades may involve:

  • .NET Framework/Packages
  • Angular Framework/Packages
  • Third-Party Libraries
  • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

The lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Development teams, and Architects, to identify, plan, and implement upgrade requests effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of software and system upgrades across Elevate's enterprise technology landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Development, and Architects, to ensure seamless upgrade processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed upgrade plans, timelines, and risk assessments for each project.
  • Validate upgrades through rigorous testing and ensure optimal system performance post-implementation.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for upgrade processes, including plans, results, and rollback procedures.
  • Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on new features introduced by upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance post-upgrade and address any issues that arise swiftly.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards during all upgrade activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for future upgrade methodologies based on lessons learned.

Education:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience

Domain Knowledge:

  • If applicable, develop an understanding of the Finance/Loan domain to align technical solutions with business requirements.

Skills:

Must have

  • Hands on knowledge in programming, preferably in .NET languages (C#, VB.NET) and SQL.
  • Experience in managing software upgrades
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills


Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Terraform
  • Experience in Angular
  • Experience with DevOps Tools:
  • Experience with Automated Testing:
