Job Title: Track Alignment Specialist

About the Position:

The Track Alignment Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing track alignment solutions. This role requires expertise in rail design software, particularly Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drain.

  • Design Horizontal and Vertical Track Centre Line Alignment: Utilize expertise in rail design software to create precise horizontal and vertical track centre line alignments.
  • Prepare Points and Crossings: Develop points and crossings based on concept of operation, ensuring seamless integration with overall project goals.
  • Implement Standard Working Procedures: Establish and enforce standard working procedures to guarantee work execution aligns with industry standards.
  • Analyze As-Built Components: Conduct thorough analysis of as-built components to identify areas requiring redesign, suggesting suitable solutions to prevent infringement during mass construction while maintaining quality standards.
  • Coordinate Day-to-Day Activities: Plan and coordinate daily activities involved in Rail Track Design & Infrastructure Development projects.
  • Expertise in Elevated Sections: Possess extensive knowledge of various design methodologies applied in elevated sections.
  • Proficiency in Rail Design Software: Demonstrate excellent proficiency in rail design software, specifically Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drain.
  • Review and Prepare Design Calculations: Responsible for preparing and reviewing design calculations for Cant, Cant Deficiency, Cant Excess, Speed, Rate of Change of Cant, Rate of Change of Cant Deficiency, and Transition.
  • Quality Checks and Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards through regular review meetings and issue resolutions.
  • Site Visits and Interface Management: Conduct site visits to monitor interface and construction activity, ensuring site conditions align with project requirements.
  • Collaboration with Interface Teams: Collaborate with Geotech, Structure, Signal, Architecture, Utility, Traction, Rolling Stock, and Multi-Model Integration teams to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years in relevant experience in Track Alignment for Metro projects.

  • Problem-solving skills, particularly in integrated project delivery environments, applying industry best practices.
