We seek a senior-level professional to develop thermoformed interior components for trains using this software.

The ideal candidate will have deep engineering understanding, strong customer communication skills, and the ability to deliver manufacturable, cost-optimized solutions while minimizing changes to tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design interior thermoformed panels for trains.
  • Translate customer rough concepts and specifications into production-ready 3D and 2D designs.
  • Adapt panel designs to changing project requirements while ensuring minimal tool modifications.
  • Engineer rear side construction of panels, including reinforcements, ventilation solutions, and mounting details.
  • Work directly with clients to align technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in CAD design for thermoformed plastic components.
  • Expert level proficiency in SolidWorks, including surface modeling, assemblies, and tool-related adjustments.
  • Strong background in railway, automotive, or transportation interiors.
  • Knowledge of plastics material properties, tooling, and production processes.
  • Ability to translate conceptual sketches into manufacturable designs.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction and engineering discussions.
  • Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style.
