Senior Engineering Lead


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned technical professional to join our team and contribute their expertise in engineering leadership. As a Senior Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading a distributed engineering team to ensure high performance, quality, and efficient design practices.

Key responsibilities include contributing to product architecture by prototyping and validating design approaches, designing and developing solutions using advanced technologies such as Java/J2EE, Microservices, Kubernetes, and SDN, mentoring and coaching junior engineers, collaborating with various teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, and contributing to test design and execution.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our cloud-based CI/CD and DevOps environment, optimizing the development lifecycle and gaining hands-on experience with broadband solutions (DSL/PON) and networking protocols like SNMP and Netconf.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience in Java/J2EE.
  • Experience testing cloud-based solutions and understanding of Unix, Java, and J2EE concepts.
  • Deep knowledge of fixed broadband (DSL/PON) products.
  • L2/L3 networking knowledge with hands-on experience in SNMP/Netconf protocols.
  • Experience in design patterns, understanding architecture, and coding.

Prior experience with OSGi, Microservices, Kubernetes, and SDN/NFV is highly desirable.
