Job Description

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of scalable, mission-critical systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-performance software solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade features with a strong focus on quality, performance, and maintainability. You will also participate in all phases of software development, including architecture, design, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be responsible for collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver solutions aligned with business goals. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Mentoring junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions is also an important aspect of this role. You will have the opportunity to influence technical direction and architecture, learn and grow alongside a talented team of engineers, and make an impact on products used by thousands of customers.

As a system administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical infrastructure systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and implementing new technologies to improve system performance.

Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, mission-critical systems. They will be proficient in Java or Scala, with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and common design patterns. A solid understanding of distributed systems, multithreading, and concurrency is also essential.

Experience working with horizontally scalable architectures, high availability, and performance tuning is highly valued. Familiarity with key development tools and processes, including version control, CI/CD, automated testing, performance profiling, and monitoring is also desirable.

Other qualifications include experience working on SaaS or cloud-native platforms, exposure to containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and understanding of micro-services architecture and related design considerations.
