Automation Engineer for Distributed Systems

As an Automation Engineer for Distributed Systems, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our distributed database management platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks, validating complex workflows across hybrid and on-prem environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain enterprise-grade standards.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases covering cluster lifecycle management, security, networking, and platform integrations.
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks for REST APIs, UI testing, system-level, and end-to-end workflows.
  • Perform performance and scalability testing across VM-based deployments and Kubernetes environments.
  • Validate enterprise-grade scenarios like backup and restore, air-gapped installs, software upgrades, and more.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in infrastructure, database, or enterprise software.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java, with hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, PostgreSQL, cloud-native technologies, and tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
