Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our South India & Sri Lanka programs located in New Delhi. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in hiring, training, and managing team performances, with a strong and engaging leadership style.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and drive the performance of trip leaders who lead senior Americans on land tours in South India and Sri Lanka.
  • Work closely with the country manager to develop and implement strategies for achieving regional excellence goals.
  • Develop individual training plans for newly hired trip leaders and conduct regular coaching sessions to support their growth.
  • Plan and execute annual trainings and mini-trainings in South India and Sri Lanka to support the trip leader team in achieving excellence goals.
  • Assign trip leaders based on past performance and company needs, and interact regularly with travelers on site.
  • Offer 24/7 emergency support for all trip leaders and manage administrative duties while on the road and in office.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in hiring, training, and managing team performances, preferably in the travel sector.
  • A strong and engaging leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-versed in the cultures and customs of South India and Sri Lanka.
  • Proven ability to motivate people and build relationships based on trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
  • General administrative skills including working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively using feedback models.
  • Demonstrated success in making tough decisions and taking calculated risks.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presentation.
