Media Planning Expert

As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance and subject matter expertise to drive media strategy, optimize budget utilization, and lead ongoing cross-channel optimizations.

With a strong working knowledge of the media landscape and available media research, you will manage a team of individuals and play an integral role in the new business team, leading pitch presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in specific areas of media strategy and planning, leading related initiatives and integrating them throughout the organization.
  • Oversee all deliverables produced by your team, either directly or through delegation.
  • Own the development of quality standards for planning deliverables, such as media recommendation templates and post-campaign analyses.
  • Collaborate with other team leads, particularly Analytics and Strategy, to develop best practices.
  • Lead non-client specific projects to enhance capabilities, improve work quality, or increase efficiency/optimization.
  • Manage the team responsible for the quality of media planning milestone meetings, strategic presentations, tactical presentations, and post-campaign analyses.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for team issues and provide guidance for process and workflow enhancements, capability growth, improved work quality, efficiency, and satisfaction.
  • Participate in new business pitches, working with the leadership team to develop plans and presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Take a proactive approach to capacity and resource management.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Motivate, lead, and manage internal teams to drive programs that meet clients' performance and business objectives.
  • Promote the adoption of account management best practices through leading by example, positive reinforcement, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members.
  • Provide training to direct reports and other team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process and product optimization and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • Ability to forecast expected outcomes of brand and ROI campaigns and manage spend accordingly.
  • Proven expertise with relevant platform tools like DoubleClick Bid Manager, Google Adwords tools, Facebook tools, and media research tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional client relationship and management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and deadline-driven with strong quantitative reasoning skills.
  • Provide timely and actionable feedback to the team to support their development and improvement.
