Job Title: Operating System Professional

Are you a skilled Linux administrator looking to take your career to the next level?

We are seeking an experienced Operating System Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, workstations, and other hardware devices.
  • Implement and manage security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of business applications and services.
Requirements
  • 6-8 years of experience in server management administration (Linux).
  • Profound knowledge of Linux OS operations, including installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of physical/VM servers.
  • Experience in hypervisor operations (XEN and VMware) and good knowledge of LVM, DNS, LDAP, and IPTables.
  • Good troubleshooting skills in server down situations and knowledge of physical server management.
  • Associate level knowledge in at least one public cloud landscape (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic knowledge in automation tools (e.g., chef) and scripting (e.g., bash, Perl).
  • Knowledge/experience in using GitHub and Jira is beneficial.

Additional Information

If you have any experience in monitoring with Prometheus on docker setup and/or ELK stack, it would be beneficial. Additionally, knowledge of central infrastructure services such as Security Groups, RPM, Rsync, Mail, Active Directory, Chef automation, Nagios, repository management, and monitoring is recommended and highly beneficial.

Able to provide knowledge and demonstrate skills in these areas.
