Job Overview

This is a highly demanding legal role that requires the ability to provide comprehensive legal support to various agencies under the Dentsu Network across South Asia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of matters, including commercial, employment, intellectual property, data privacy, ethics, compliance, and generative artificial intelligence (GAI).
  • Manage and oversee complex litigation and arbitration matters, including civil, criminal, labour, property, and commercial disputes.
  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on high-stakes commercial agreements, ensuring the most advantageous legal and commercial terms for the organization.
  • Offer legal guidance and support on employment law matters, including internal investigations and related processes.
Requirements
  • A strong academic background in law with 6-8 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house lawyer and/or in law firms.
  • Prior experience in the Media & Entertainment or Information Technology industry is highly beneficial.
  • Diplomas in specialized areas such as advertising laws, media and entertainment, intellectual property rights, data privacy, or compliance are desirable but not mandatory.

  • An excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • The ability to identify and mitigate legal risks, issues, and solutions across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including ethics, compliance, data privacy, and GAI.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage complex, interrelated tasks and deliver under pressure.
