Bids And Proposal Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Bids And Proposal Specialist to provide technical expertise in the development of detailed proposals and bids for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review P&ID Process flow diagrams (PFD) with respect to instrument types and process descriptions.
  • Examine process datasheets, plot plans, line lists, piping material specifications, equipment layouts, vessel datasheets, and area classifications.
  • Prepare Instrumentation Data sheets for various flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments.
  • Sizes Pressure Safety Valves and Pressure Control Valves using API 520 and ISA 75 standards respectively.
  • Develops installation standards, process, and pneumatic hook-ups.
  • Prepares Installation Hardware Material Requisitions.
  • Performs flow element sizing calculations using ISO 5167 Standard.
  • Creates Functional Schematic diagrams.
  • Instrument Electrical interface details.
  • Material Requisition for Various Instruments.
  • Prepares Instrument Index and IO Lists.
  • Prepares Cable JB schedules.
  • Creates Cable Block diagram and Loop wiring diagram from field instruments to DCS ESD Marshalling cabinets and system cabinets.
  • Junction Box Wiring Diagrams.
  • Prepares Level sketches.
  • Prepares Instrument JB Location Layouts.
  • Prepares Air Connection Layouts.
  • Cable Tray and Trench layout designs.
  • Cable Tray MTO including all fittings and accessories.
  • Reviews quotations and prepares technical questionnaires, technical bid analysis, and purchase requisitions.
  • Participates in HAZOP studies and further node-wise preparation of HAZOP worksheets, which include deviations, causes, consequences, existing safeguards, and recommendations.
  • Basic knowledge of DCS and PLC Systems, System Architecture, Cabinet, Panel GA for DCS, SIS, and PLC systems.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in instrumentation and design engineering.
  • Strong background in instrumentation and design engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of DCS and PLC Systems.
