Senior Python Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python automation engineer to lead our embedded systems testing efforts in the automotive domain.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Python-based automation frameworks for embedded automotive systems. As a senior engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Python-based automation frameworks for embedded automotive systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective test strategies.
  • Analyze requirements and derive comprehensive test cases to ensure thorough coverage.
  • Execute white-box and black-box testing to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze test results and report defects with detailed logs to facilitate prompt resolution.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Python scripting, embedded systems testing, software testing methodologies, core testing principles, C programming, and Agile methodology. Familiarity with AUTOSAR knowledge, version control, and UML is also desirable.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems testing within the automotive domain.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies including unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Proficiency in C for embedded systems.
  • Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Able to derive and execute test cases from system/software requirements.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR layered software architecture.
  • Experience with Git and/or Subversion.
  • Understanding of Unified Modeling Language for system design and documentation.
