Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to assume a leadership role in our intercompany accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team of 3-4 members, ensuring seamless execution of month-end processes and resolving queries and problems that may arise.

The selected individual will be expected to collaborate closely with stakeholders, including global controllers and audit teams, to ensure effective communication and resolution of open queries.

Additionally, this person will be responsible for establishing standard operating procedures, identifying opportunities for process automation, and cross-training team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve team goals
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IC processes
  • Provide training and guidance to team members as needed
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • CA - 8+ years of work experience in finance controllership/consolidations, inter-company accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of consolidations accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience in handling intercompany accounting, IC ledger reviews/reconciliations, month-end close, and transformation projects
  • Team handling experience and end-to-end process knowledge of intercompany processes
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 3-4 members, overseeing their day-to-day operations and resolving queries/problems
  • Understand and learn the IC accounting process at Medline, eliminating logics in Oracle FCCS
  • Review month-end activities performed by the IC team, including billing for IC transactions, review global IC BS and P&L variances, and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Post top-side entry in Oracle FCCS for high-value variances that remain open at ME, review BS reconciliation of IC GLs, and provide feedback to team members
  • Timely follow-up with global Controllers on pending data/open queries, handle queries from Audit and Tax teams, and provide solutions to multiple stakeholders
  • Establish effective communication between the team and stakeholders, standardize IC processes, and identify potential solutions to automate manual activities via transformation projects
  • Strategize plans to achieve team goals, document IC processes, and cross-train team members
  • Monitor team performance, report metrics, and discover training needs
