System Administrator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of System Administrator. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MySQL administration tasks, including installation, configuration, upgrades, replication setup/monitoring, and user management to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Monitor database health, troubleshoot metadata locks, slow queries, replication lag, and optimize performance to prevent downtime and data loss.
  • Manage Linux servers, including user management, process monitoring, cron jobs, package updates, and system resource checks to maintain a secure and stable environment.
  • Implement and monitor backup and recovery processes using tools like mysqldump or Percona XtraBackup to ensure business continuity in case of disasters.
  • Perform routine patching, upgrades, and security hardening for MySQL and Linux environments to prevent vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 support tickets; escalate complex issues to Level 3 with proper Root Cause Analysis inputs to ensure timely resolution and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery drills, capacity planning, and system audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures, and knowledge base documentation to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and onboarding of new team members.
