Corporate Leadership Role

Job Purpose:

The Head of Human Resources will lead the transformation and embedding of organisational culture, championing company values through strong leadership and inspirational behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive reports on HR, Payroll, and Learning and Development to ensure compliance with Employment Law, HR policy, best practice, and workforce development.
  • Advise on effective employment policies and strategies across the organisation.
  • Provide professional leadership, support, and development to HR staff to increase knowledge, share best practice, and meet relevant professional standards.
  • Maintain compliance with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, and procedures, including data protection, Equality Act, and health and safety legislation.
  • Execute the HR Strategy and manage core areas of the HR department, including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Workforce Administration, Employee Engagement, Payroll, Reward and Recognition, and HR systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement, focusing on engagement & welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers, and building leadership capability.
  • Lead organisational culture transformation, ensuring alignment with company values and approach.
  • Develop a diversity, equality, and inclusion plan that aligns with business strategy and commitments.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and support colleagues to identify strengths and development needs, develop relationships, and encourage retention.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Master Degree in HR required.
  • 12+ years of experience in HR Role preferred.
  • Ability to create people strategy.
  • Commercial acumen and experience using metrics for driving performance.
  • A pro-active attitude and passion for leading with integrity.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and positive approachable manner.
  • Agile work ethic.
  • Curious mindset to think innovatively and rationally about concerns and come up with creative solutions.
  • Experience managing skilled teams and making quick but rational decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and use initiative.
  • First-rate communication and presentation skills.
