Senior Web Development Director

We are seeking a highly experienced engineering leader to spearhead our Full Stack Team. As the Senior Web Development Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing a cross-functional team of front-end, back-end, and full-stack engineers.

Your key responsibilities will include defining and enforcing technical standards, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. You will also be hands-on, actively coding, reviewing PRs, and solving complex technical challenges.

A strong track record of shipping complex products fast without sacrificing reliability is essential for this role. You will need to have experience managing Scrum teams and enforcing sprint discipline, as well as a passion for AI and automation.

You will work closely with the CTO, Product, and AI research team to align technical execution with business goals. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in Typescript, Tailwind CSS, React, Node.js, Express.js, VIKE SSR and Playwright to drive innovation and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead development across Web, Studio, and Shopify applications, ensuring designs from the Design Team are translated into production-quality code.
  • Own full-stack delivery: front-end and back-end, from implementing features to testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and deploying to production.
  • Maintain and evolve our Shopify application, ensuring seamless integrations, top performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Implement SEO technical tasks on the website to maximize visibility and growth.
  • Manage translations across our Web platform, Studio, and Shopify apps for global users.
  • Design, implement, and secure authentication flows.
  • Oversee internal portals: develop and maintain customer-facing dashboards and tools.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of engineering experience, including senior-level hands-on coding.
  • Proven leadership in scaling engineering teams (preferably SaaS/AI/consumer tech).
  • Strong expertise in Typescript, Tailwind CSS, React, Node.js, Express.js, VIKE SSR and Playwright.
  • Track record of shipping complex products fast without sacrificing reliability.
  • Experience managing Scrum teams and enforcing sprint discipline.
  • Passion for AI and automation, with real examples of using AI in development workflows.
