Cloud Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

  • The Cloud Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing automation scripts and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • This role ensures efficient deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud-native services using scripting languages such as Python and Shell.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation scripts in Python and Shell for cloud operations and infrastructure tasks.
  • Deploy and manage cloud resources in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automate cloud security, monitoring, and backup processes.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams for cloud integrations.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resource usage.
  • Troubleshoot issues in cloud environments and implement long-term fixes.
  • Document cloud architectures, automation procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in scripting (Python and Shell).
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with cloud services like EC2, S3, Lambda, VMs, Storage, Functions, etc.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, version control, monitoring tools).
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
