The Fort Worth Historic Stockyard district is a 125-acre area with legendary landmarks and world-famous cuisine. With weekly championship rodeos, train/trail rides, and horse-drawn carriage rides, along with daily cattle drives, this is an exciting opportunity for a new career.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Revenue: Prepare and implement the hotel's annual Sales and Marketing Plan, make sales calls to key accounts and potential clients, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities.
  • Financial: Aggressively pursue revenue goals and effectively utilize yield management and revenue maximization tools.
  • Community Involvement: Ensure good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with local schools, government, and civic organizations.
  • Quality: Guest Service: Work closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping teams to ensure the hotel meets or exceeds Brand Standards for Guest Satisfaction.
Leadership Expectations
  • Motivate, coach, and train in-house sales SOPs to Front Desk team members, set goals, hold team members accountable, and provide feedback, rewards, and recognition.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive work environment, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Implement Sales and Marketing Plan targeted to achieve annual Revenue goals.
  2. Achieve Rooms Revenue goal, Catering/F&B/Meeting Rooms Revenue goal, RevPAR goals (100% minimum), STAR ranking goal (1 or 2), and Forecast Accuracy Goal (+/- 3%).
  3. Develop and execute marketing and advertising programs within the General Manager's guidelines and approved budgets.
  4. Leverage opportunities to cross-sell among other owned properties.
  5. Maintain high visibility in the surrounding community.
  6. Lead the Sales Department to achieve revenue and sales goals.
  7. Implement and maintain efficient sales office procedures for productive use of staff time and ensure the maintenance of accurate and updated account files and follow-up procedures.

This is a salaried position with a competitive estimated salary of $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. The successful candidate will possess exceptional negotiating skills, strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenues, and previous hotel pre-opening experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, general computer knowledge, and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts. Experience in hotel sales software is necessary, and ability to quickly adapt to new systems is required.
