Job Overview:

A highly skilled and experienced software test engineer is required to ensure the highest quality of electronic products and systems, adhering to stringent EMC/EMI standards and regulations.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing EMI/EMC analyses and testing, with a strong understanding of Automotive EMC/EMI test standards, requirements, test methods, and setup/performance of testing.
  • Digital and analog circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout process are essential skills for this role.
  • The candidate should be proficient in simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as network analysers, spectrum analysers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers is required.
  • The candidate should also be familiar with RF and EMC standards including FCC, CISPR-25, ECE-R10, AIS-004, IEC, and EN.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, technical support, and guidance on EMC design principles, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration with design engineers, project managers, and regulatory agencies to implement EMC/EMI requirements.
  • Reviewing electronic component datasheets and application notes for the development of EMC protection schemes.
  • Analyzing schematics and circuit board layouts for adherence to EMC design practices and guidelines.
  • Formulating system and circuit board level EMC protection (filtering, shielding, etc).
  • Conducting design calculations and design reviews to ensure that electronic devices and systems are designed for EMI and EMC compliance.
  • Interpreting EMC standards and regulations to develop test plans and procedures for compliance testing.
  • Conducting EMC testing (Pre-DV, DV, and PV) and analysis on electronic products and systems to assess electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams on EMC design principles, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
