Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee our Intercompany Accounting team. As a key member of our finance organization, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end intercompany processes and leading a team of members.

  • The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of Consolidations accounting principles and procedures, with 8+ years of work experience in Finance Controllership/Consolidations, Inter-Company Accounting.
  • Experience in handling Inter company accounting/IC ledger reviews/reconciliations is essential, along with Month end close experience and Team handling experience.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have end-to-end process knowledge of intercompany process and experience in handling multiple stakeholders from different global regions.
  • Preferred skills include Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & QAD) and Consolidation Platform Experience (Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Tagetik, Trintech etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-of-end IC process and manage team day-to-day operations and resolve queries/problems.
  • Understand IC accounting process at Medline and learn IC balances elimination logics set in Oracle FCCS.
  • Review Month End activities performed by IC team, including handling billing for IC transactions of US entity.
  • Review Global IC BS and P&L Variances and Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve global IC variances.
  • Post top-side entry in Oracle FCCS for high-value variances that remain open at ME.
  • Review BS reconciliation of IC GLs in detail, ensuring all necessary backups are available and well documented.
  • Timely and effectively follow-up with global Controller's on any pending data/open queries.
  • Handle queries from Audit and Tax teams from time to-time.
  • Provide solution to multiple stakeholders on adhoc and regular queries.
  • Establish effective communication between team and stakeholders.
  • Process Improvisation: Standardize IC process and assigned end-to-end activities to team members to enhance their business knowledge.
  • Identify potential solution to automate manual activities via transformation projects.
  • Strategizing plans to achieve team goals in timely manner within stipulated time frame.
  • IC Process Documentation & Cross Training: Improved Standard Operating Procedures with detailed steps and created back-up layer for business continuity planning.
  • Team Management: Monitor team performance and report on metrics to ensure efficiency and documenting same to make accurate reports and discover training needs and provide coaching.
  • Managing schedule and delegating tasks to team members effectively.
  • Provide guidance to team members on active projects.

Requirements:

  • CA - 8+ years of work experience in Finance Controllership/Consolidations, Inter-Company Accounting.
  • Thorough knowledge of Consolidations accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in handling Inter company accounting/IC ledger reviews/reconciliations etc.
  • Month end close experience required.
  • Transformation projects experience will be add-on.
  • Team handling experience required.
  • End-to-end process knowledge of intercompany process.
  • Experience in handling multiple stakeholders from different global regions.
