  • We partner with e-commerce leaders like WooCommerce, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Yotpo, Smile, etc.
  • Our headquarters is in Chicago, but we have a remote team with locations in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Toronto, Athens (Greece), Sarajevo (Bosnia), and Surat (India).
  • We offer flexible working arrangements, including the possibility to work from Europe or India for a month and travel on long weekends.
  • Most of our clients are e-commerce-based merchants with annual revenue between $2M-$350MM.

Job Description

As a Lead WordPress Developer, you will lead end-to-end development of WordPress websites, ensuring responsiveness, performance, and scalability. You will develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client requirements.

You will work with ACF, WooCommerce, and other popular WordPress tools and integrations. You will collaborate with designers to translate Figma/PSD/Wireframes into functional WordPress websites.

You will optimize websites for speed, SEO, and best practices in security. You will implement REST APIs, third-party integrations, and custom functionalities.

Key Objectives:

  • Create user-focused experiences through mockups provided.
  • Build personalized and customized features for customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
  • Develop standard code that can serve as the foundation of future projects.
  • Perform tasks accurately and up to our quality standard.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development, strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Hands-on experience with custom theme & plugin development, solid understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, actions, and filters, and experience with WooCommerce and payment gateway integrations are essential.

Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg) while being able to work beyond them, and experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and headless WordPress are desirable.

Strong grasp of website performance optimization and SEO best practices, ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are required.
