Job Title: Python Backend Developer

About this Role:

We are seeking an experienced Python developer to join our documents team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data ingestion systems that process financial documents from diverse web sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable data collection pipelines to power EQL Global's products.
  • Implement automated web data extraction solutions for real-time financial data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business goals.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for smooth and timely data delivery.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer, focused on Python.
  • Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience merging data from different sources.
  • Experience in automated web data extraction (Selenium, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3).
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, large-scale data pipeline management, workflow tools (e.g., Apache Airflow), streaming or batch ingestion.
  • Experience with Docker for backend services and web data extraction scripts.
  • Experience working with proxy services.
