Shopify App Developer

We're seeking a skilled software developer with expertise in building high-performance applications for the Shopify ecosystem. If you have a strong background in React, Remix (or React Router), Shopify Admin API, and Polaris, and love writing clean, maintainable code, this role is ideal for you.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining custom Shopify apps with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Implementing front-end interfaces using React, Remix (or React Router), Polaris, and TailwindCSS.
  • Integrating with Shopify Admin APIs, GraphQL APIs, and Webhooks for store data and app functionality.
  • Building reusable components and shared utilities for internal and external apps.
  • Optimizing for speed, responsiveness, and edge performance.
  • Collaborating with product, design, and backend teams for feature planning and delivery.
  • Writing unit and integration tests for reliable, production-grade code.

Required Skills

  • React: Strong experience with functional components, hooks, and state management.
  • Remix or React Router: Proficiency in building nested routes, loaders, actions, and server rendering.
  • Shopify Admin API: Deep understanding of REST and GraphQL endpoints, app authentication (OAuth), and webhook handling.
  • Polaris UI: Skilled in building pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible interfaces using Shopify's design system.
  • TailwindCSS: Advanced knowledge of utility-first styling and responsive design.
  • Node.js / TypeScript: Comfort with backend logic, API routes, and type-safe coding.
  • Experience with App Bridge, JWT-based auth flows, and session management for Shopify apps.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers, Bun, or Vercel is a plus.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Hydrogen or custom storefronts.
  • Working knowledge of Drizzle ORM, Prisma, or Postgres for data persistence.
  • CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Docker, etc.).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for low-latency apps.
