Middleware Configuration Specialist

The Middleware Configuration Specialist is responsible for various system administration tasks, including patch management, hot fixes, security patching, resource monitoring, and backup procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general middleware configuration tasks such as patch deployment, hot fix installation, SSL administration, log file rotation, and troubleshooting.
  • System restart, log purging activities, and manage communication with OEM application monitoring based on tool capabilities.
  • Middleware application security/bug patching, resource monitoring (infrastructure) based on tool capabilities, disaster recovery activities, and system management on disaster recovery sites.
  • Middleware release updates, middleware upgrades based on OEM and application team standard operating procedures, installation and configuration of middleware products, and deployments of middleware and applications.
  • Manage system downtimes, performance and health checks of middleware services, backups of middleware and application components, server certificate management, and non-production refreshes.
