Core Due Diligence Role

  • Developing an understanding of the target business’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges is essential.
  • As an Engagement Manager, you will lead the client services team in project execution.
  • You will be responsible for leading the team during project execution, reviewing reports, and providing value-added inputs.
  • Evaluation and analysis of information memoranda, business plans, publicly available information on the target business are critical components of this role.
  • Production of quality deliverables within agreed timescales is necessary, including Excel and PowerPoint documents, briefing senior management accordingly.
  • Review and analysis of historical trading, cash flow, and balance sheets, as well as projections and underlying assumptions, are key responsibilities.
  • Identifying key issues related to the deal, assessing their impact on valuation and price consideration, and advising on ways to address these issues are crucial skills.
  • Establishing good independent relationships with clients and ensuring compliance with risk management procedures and activities are also important.
  • Proactively resolving risk issues in delivering services to clients and contributing to knowledge sharing efforts are also required.
  • Effective team building and management, as well as a strong ability to mentor and coach, are also essential.
  • Business development, proposals, and cost estimates are additional responsibilities.
