Senior Data Protection Specialist

Location: Hybrid

Experience Required: 4 to 10 Years

Job Overview

We seek an accomplished professional with a solid background in data protection to join our team as Senior Data Protection Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage data protection projects across industries, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
  • Design, review, and enhance data protection policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Implement and monitor data protection controls, including data subject rights, consent management, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Risk functions to ensure data protection compliance in technology and business processes.
  • Drive awareness sessions and training programs on data protection.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients on data protection risks and remediation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in data protection, information security, or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with data protection audits, assessments, and compliance programs.
  • Exposure to ISO 27701, ISO 27001, and other data protection/security frameworks.
  • Ability to manage client engagements, lead teams, and deliver projects within timelines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
  • CIPT / CIPP-E / CISM / CISA or equivalent certifications.
  • ISO 27701 Implementer / Lead Auditor is advantageous.
