Philanthropy Development Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to enhance our fundraising capabilities.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 3–5 years' experience who wishes to consolidate their skills and progress into a frontline fundraising position.

  • Develop and maintain our donor pipeline: ensuring it remains current, drafting proposals and reports, and overseeing stewardship systems.
  • As you become familiar with our narrative and systems, you may have the chance to co-own donor relationships and manage a portfolio of donors.
Work Environment & Culture

This is a fast-paced environment with high expectations. The Philanthropy Development Associate will work closely with the founder, who sets ambitious targets and works efficiently.

Success in this role requires resilience, proactive communication, and the ability to effectively manage upwards while anticipating needs and maintaining clear priorities.

Key Responsibilities (Three Pillars)
  • Donor Insights & Prospecting
    • Maintain a current and comprehensive donor database
    • Research and map new prospects; prepare concise donor briefs for leadership meetings
    • Support the development team with background information and prospect tracking
  • Proposal Development & Communications
    • Draft proposals, reports, and presentations aligned with our initiatives
    • Ensure proposal templates are up-to-date and standardised across projects
    • Contribute to donor communications, newsletters, and impact reports
  • Systems & Stewardship Support
    • Maintain a grant calendar and submission tracker
    • Log all donor/board interactions in the CRM within 48 hours
    • Lead the development and delivery of donor salons and stewardship events, working with operations staff for logistics
    • Prepare dashboards and internal reports on fundraising activity
