">Job Summary:
">We are seeking a talented Design Engineer – Estimation to join our team. As a key member of our design and engineering department, you will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate cost estimations that drive our business acquisition efforts.
">Key Responsibilities:
">Prepare cost estimates for castings, machining, tooling, and gauges based on customer drawings and specifications.
">Lead and facilitate TFS meetings with cross-functional teams (engineering, SCM, quality, operations).
">Apply knowledge of casting, machining, and special processes to optimize cost competitiveness.
">Continuously refine estimation tools, templates, and databases for faster turnaround.
">Embrace and explore AI-driven tools, CAD/CFD/CAM simulations, and digital estimation platforms.
">Document assumptions, risks, and cost drivers in estimation reports.
">Requirements:
">Strong foundation in mechanical/manufacturing engineering principles.
">Familiarity with casting and machining processes (foundry background is an advantage).
">Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo, NX, SolidWorks) with awareness of CFD/FEA/CAM applications.
">Curiosity for digital transformation, AI, and simulation-based methods in estimation.
