Job Title: Economic Strategist

Our team is seeking a skilled Economic Strategist to support the Manufacturing department in research economic issues, conduct surveys and collect data, analyze data using analytical models, statistical techniques, present research results in reports, tables, and charts, interpret and forecast market trends, advise businesses, governments, and individuals on economic topics, recommend solutions to economic problems, write articles for academic journals and other media.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive research agendas and report concepts, ensuring at least one detailed report within a year.
  2. Collaboration and Engagement: Engage with ministries, universities, think tanks, and other agencies in research assignments, aiming to co-author at least one report/publication with Government/Academia within a year.
  3. Research Agenda Identification: Identify key research initiatives and work with various stakeholders to define topics of research.
  4. Discussion Points and Presentations: Prepare discussion points/talking points for meetings and discussion forums, providing relevant content and supporting effective delivery.
  5. Presentation and Communication Skills: Make engaging presentations in various fora's, delivering crisp and clear messages during committee/council/government meetings.
  6. Issue Interpretation and Solution Recommendation: Interpret issues/concerns raised by stakeholders and recommend solutions to address those issues.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Postgraduate Degree: Hold a postgraduate degree in Economics from a leading university, either in India or abroad.
  • Thought Leadership: Demonstrate thought leadership in economic analysis and policy development.
  • Strategic Thinking: Possess strong strategic thinking skills to drive research agendas and report concepts.
  • Domain Knowledge: Have excellent domain knowledge and understanding of economic principles and practices.
  • Conceptualization and Consultative Skills: Excel in conceptualization and consultative skills to develop innovative solutions.
  • Effective Communication and Presentation Skills: Possess effective communication and presentation skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
