Job Description
The primary objective of this role is to oversee the measurement, monitoring, and analysis of Market Risk within the Trading Book of a financial institution. This entails collaborating with the Financial Market Team, ALCO, and RMC to ensure that risk limits are not exceeded through the computation and analysis of various risk parameters.

Core Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of financial market products and their valuation methods, including derivatives and bonds.
- Utilize software such as Murex for valuations and strengthen the existing risk framework under the guidance of ALCO or Top Management.
- Proactively manage and report Trading Book Risk to regulatory bodies like RBI or Board/RMC/ALCO on a timely basis.
- Enhance the MIS framework by implementing updated guidelines and address queries from audits and RBI with satisfactory resolutions.
- Foster a deep understanding of the Trading Book Risk Framework, encompassing VaR, NOOP, AGL, and Stress testing.
- Interact and resolve queries with multiple teams, including Relationship managers, Financial Market, Middle Office, and Back office.
- Demonstrate effective people management or self-management skills.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Optimize available resources to enhance productivity and implement strategies for future team leaders with continuous knowledge development.
- Ensure backup availability for all activities covered under Trading Book Risk and mentor team members on Trading Book Risk Management for active monitoring.
