Job Summary:

We seek an expert in Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to oversee the procurement and management of medical supplies across all hospital units.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze VMI data to identify opportunities for optimization and monitor procurement trends.
  • Negotiate with manufacturers and vendors to secure favorable pricing and service terms.
  • Develop and maintain group-wide price agreements for high-value medical supplies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, focusing on performance, delivery, and compliance in VMI operations.
  • Evaluate and implement efficient VMI systems across all hospital units.
  • Ensure timely receipt of agreed credit notes and Trade Offer Discounts (TODs) from vendors.
  • Audit standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to VMI for all units.
  • Track and reconcile VMI stock across all units to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • Formulate brand recommendations based on clinical, financial, and operational insights.
  • Monitor compliance with brand recommendations and measure resultant cost savings.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory guidelines to prevent legal or regulatory non-compliances.
  • Proactively address audit observations and risks related to VMI practices.
  • Establish a markup policy for vendor-managed items aligned with pricing strategy.
  • Maintain a discount tracker for visibility, transparency, and realization of negotiated benefits.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management, preferably in healthcare/hospital settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor negotiations, compliance, and SOP implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare procurement dynamics, regulatory requirements, and VMI models.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
