Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement of materials and services for infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills and be able to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, taking into account cost savings, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Source and evaluate vendors/suppliers for quality, pricing, reliability, and ability to meet project timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize cost savings and ensure mutual benefits for all parties involved.
  • Monitor inventory, logistics, and material delivery schedules to prevent delays and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation, records, and reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ensure that procurement practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to forecast material needs, manage inventory levels, and streamline procurement processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Procurement/Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of procurement experience in construction or infrastructure, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in ERP/procurement software and other relevant tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
