Job Overview:

The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the team's vision and fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership in the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance systems, with a focus on Node.js and related technologies.
  • Guide the team on system architecture, development processes, and technology stack decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement strategies to scale backend infrastructure, meeting high traffic and performance demands while maintaining technical excellence.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering) to define technical solutions and project requirements, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to define engineering strategies and long-term roadmaps, aligning with business goals.
  • Manage timelines and milestones, balancing project speed and technical quality to drive success.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance technical processes, increase efficiency, and optimize costs, driving business value.
  • Encourage experimentation and iterative improvement, fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications using Node.js, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams, driving results and growth through effective leadership.
