We are seeking a seasoned technology leader to head our data engineering team, responsible for building scalable data pipelines for financial systems.

As the Manager of Data Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers and operations staff, providing coaching, feedback, and career development support. Your primary objective is to ensure project deliverables and operational commitments are met on time, with high quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a diverse group of engineers and operations staff, focusing on people management, delivery oversight, and operational excellence.
  • Delivery Oversight: Ensure timely completion of projects, with a strong emphasis on quality and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Operational Management: Oversee the smooth running of Accounting and Finance platforms, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, coordinating root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Process Adherence: Implement and enforce established best practices, including code reviews, change management, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign tasks effectively across the team, balancing project and operational demands.
  • Reporting: Track and report on team progress, system performance, and operational metrics to senior leadership.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7-10 years of experience in technology roles, with 2–3 years in people management of engineering or operations teams.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, accounting platforms, or financial data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of operational practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Solid communication and organizational skills with the ability to partner with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
